PROJECT TYPE: Design Build
INDUSTRY TYPE: Commercial
Burkholder's HVAC replaced the main control unit that manages the temperatures in all of the buildings at Brookside Country Club with a Taco iWorX system.
The main unit controls the temperatures in all of Brookside’s buildings including 11 air handlers, 1 boiler, 1 chiller, and 7 VAVs. Brookside’s system was outdated and in need of replacement. Burkholder's was asked to remove the existing control system and install a new Taco iWorX system. iWorX is a web-based building management, monitoring, and control system. It can be monitored continuously and remotely from the web. It has the capability to be programmed to send email alerts on the status of the system.
The major challenge during this project was to keep the old system running during the installation of the new system. Our crew successfully kept the old system fully functional and switched over to the new system without Brookside Country Club experiencing any disruptions.
