Burkholder's HVAC managed this extensive project requiring a team of specialty subcontractors at Lehigh Country Club.

The distinguished Lehigh Country Club is a private club located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Over the course of its 120-year history, it has provided its members with many upgrades to its facilities. The club contracted Burkholder's HVAC to install new indoor and outdoor HVAC equipment.

The project was extensive, requiring a team of multiple specialty subcontractors. Burkholder's HVAC was the prime contractor of the project and oversaw the daily operations and coordinated the schedule between the subcontractors.

A general contractor was hired to remove and re-install the acoustical ceiling and dust control curtains surrounding the work area. They also poured the concrete pad for the outdoor condensing unit. The project required a roofing contractor to install curbs/equipment rails for fans, duct penetrations, and refrigeration piping through the roof. An electrician completed the power, and control wiring for all equipment. Kistler O' Brien was responsible for installing the fire alarm system that included tying (2) air handler smoke detectors into their fire panel, programming, and startup.

The outdoor equipment installed on this project includes: (2) new heat recovery VRF systems, (2) outdoor heat pumps, VRF condensing units totaling 22 tons.

The indoor equipment installed on this project includes: (1) 8-ton air handler, (1) 12-ton air handler, (6) ceiling cassettes, (2) concealed above ceiling ducted air handlers and (1) wall-mounted unit.

Additional work performed on this project includes: installation of ductwork, condensate piping, refrigeration piping, the setting of equipment, demolition of existing chiller/chilled water system, and thermostat control wiring.
